Joe Towers
Mid-Term Missionary
Joe, a recent high school graduate from South Bend, Indiana, is stepping into mission life with a heart full of faith and a spirit of adventure. Homeschooled and the third of six siblings, Joe spent 12 years playing soccer and now enjoys refereeing as well. His love for ministry was nurtured through active involvement in his youth group, where he helped lead retreats and served on the core team for junior high students.
Summers at Damascus Catholic Mission Camp and Steubenville conferences deepened Joe’s desire to live out the Gospel. Working alongside his father in a building supply warehouse, Joe began praying for direction for the year ahead—asking God to open a door where he could serve and share the Catholic faith. That door led to Peru.
Joe is eager to immerse himself in the Peruvian culture, learn Spanish—and yes, pick up a few new soccer moves. More than anything, he desires to be an instrument used to build the Church and bring joy to those in need.
