    Contributions to the Francis Institute may be tax deductible as allowed by law. Donations are charitable gifts to The Francis Institute and are used to advance our mission of proclaiming the Gospel, serving the poor, and forming and sending missionary disciples.

    We make every effort to honor the intent of our donors and to use designated gifts for the purposes communicated at the time of the donation. 

    The Francis Institute retains legal control and discretion over donated funds and is responsible for their use in accordance with applicable law and our charitable purposes.

  • Absolutely. You don't have to know one of our missionaries to participate in their mission. Your generosity helps make it possible for missionaries to go, remain, and serve where God has called them.

  • We prayerfully and responsibly evaluate the needs of our missionaries and ministry locations and seek to direct resources where they can most effectively advance the mission of the Church.

  • We believe proclaiming the Gospel and serving the poor belong together. Jesus calls us not only to proclaim His love, but to make that love visible through concrete acts of charity and mercy. We cannot tell someone that Christ loves them while ignoring their hunger, illness, or other basic needs.

    Serving the poor opens doors to relationship, restores human dignity, and gives us the opportunity to share the hope of Christ. In all that we do, we seek to meet both the physical and spiritual needs of the people we serve—pointing them ultimately to Jesus, who alone can transform lives.

The Francis Institute accepts donations of publicly traded stocks. Stock donations are processed through our partner, Stock Donator. Donations are free and you will receive a receipt for the full value of your donation.

Donating stock allows you avoid capital gains tax, this allows you to give more than if you sold the stock and then made a cash donation. Please contact your accountant or tax professional for more information
